This is the most beautiful part of healing… the transformation we experience. The old versions of ourselves we let go of. The angry version, the bitter version, the people pleasing version, the insecure version, the victim version…. It’s only in healing that we experience transformations to become a better version of ourselves. Whole, content, confident, empowered. Don’t put off the healing process. There’s so much beauty on the other side. 💗

Let’s be honest… it’s all too easy to be a person who acts like a victim in a problem we created.
We all have a propensity to avoid accountability, and deflect blame onto external factors rather than owning up to our own contributions.
Such behavior not only hinders personal growth but also destroys trust and integrity in relationships.
Instead of enabling a victim mentality in ourselves, it's crucial to engage in self-reflection and personal responsibility. By becoming an individual who demonstrates resilience and a proactive approach to challenges, we cultivate a culture of accountability and empowerment, fostering authentic connections built on honesty and mutual respect.

Forgiveness breaks the chains that keep you bound to the people who have hurt you and the bitterness that lies within you.
The struggle with forgiveness is that it isn't fair! This is a reality we HAVE to accept if we are going to experience true healing. We can't demand justice for how we’ve been wronged and, even if we could, the damage is already done. Therefore, we’re already paying the price for what's been done, whether we choose to forgive or not. We have a choice: bitterness or forgiveness. When we forgive, we are agreeing to make peace with another person’s wrongdoing against us.
Forgiveness is a choice; it’s an act of will. It takes conscious effort on our part. It doesn’t just happen if we forget or ignore how we’ve been wounded. The consequence of choosing to avoid forgiveness is this: If we can’t forgive, we can’t experience true healing.
(Important note: forgiveness isn't trust! Forgiving those who hurt us does not mean we are allowing others to continue to hurt us. We can still have boundaries with unhealthy people while forgiving them. Forgiveness is not forgetting.)

Sometimes healing consists of sitting in coffee shops and writing the years from your mind. Sometimes healing is laughing until you cry. And sometimes healing is rest; it is hiding from the world, it is having everything inside you be quiet and still and eerily bare.
