As we continue talking about bridges, our students designed their own bridges today. Some made theirs based on existing bridges like the Brooklyn Bridge that we read about yesterday, or the Golden Gate Bridge by our west coast basketball fans. Two students were inspired by Mr. Jeff’s discussion about the Mostar Bridge in Bosnia that was built during the Ottoman Empire and chose to draw this bridge. Other students drew bridges from their home countries or in countries they wished to go to. Each student shared what was special about their bridge, who or what crossed it, and what made the bridge strong.
