Club meeting tomorrow! ***NO DINNER due to the college not officially open yet!
Jennifer Berry, PhD will speak on the topic: Pollinators--We Need Them, Now They Need Us!
Scientists are now referring to the decline of pollinators as the “insect apocalypse.” While that may sound dramatic, the crisis is very real. This presentation will explain the reasons behind the decline of pollinators and, more importantly, discuss actionable steps we can take to slow it. Please join us at 6:30 PM as we explore how even small actions can make a meaningful difference.

May 18th - Linda Tillman: Harvest Wax & Honey
It's uncapping & extracting time! This month's speaker, Linda Tillman, will talk about extracting AND she'll teach you how to make your own solar beeswax melter!

Linda is a retired clinical psychologist and she earned her Master Beekeeper in 2010. She was named GBA Beekeeper of the Year in 2020. Linda is a backyard beekeeper who has kept bees since 2006. She has six hives in her backyard and six in other places, including two on the roof of an Atlanta public elementary school. She has a YouTube channel where she shares videos about inspecting beehives, tips for better beekeeping, and cooking with honey. She respects the bees and has learned a lot from them. When she is not working with her bees, she plays with her grandchildren, keeps chickens, knits, bakes bread, and makes quilts.

This event will be held at North Georgia Technical College 1500 HWY197, Clarkesville, GA 30523. This meeting is FREE to all NEGAMBA members. Annual club dues are only $20/yr for a family membership.
We’ll get together at 6:00pm for dinner in the Ramsey Hunter dining hall ($10). Class begins at 6:30pm.
