It's our annual BLACK JAR HONEY CONTEST time!
Bring 4oz of your 2026 season honey to this month’s meeting. Remember, you must be a NEGAMBA member in good standing to enter (meaning your 2026 dues must be paid). Multiple entries ARE allowed but no duplicate honeys-any honey coming from one apiary MUST be of a different variety (example: spring vs. summer, wildflower vs. sourwood…etc.), so if you have different varieties of pure honey (no additives or infusions) bring them to the competition. We will be transferring entries to separate black jar containers, so don't worry about your entry jar being perfect. We …will once again buzz things up with a $5 CASH entry fee per honey entry. The 1st place winner will win $$$ if they are a competitor who chose to enter w/ a cash entry. You are not required to pay an entry fee, but if you win and did not submit an entry fee you will not get the cash! Think about your options and bring your best 2026 honey.
