Starting off November with our 3rd general meeting!💙

This month we’ll be joined by Lukas West, a YARR (Young Adult Rare Representative) 🌟 who will be sharing his experience living with Functional Neurological Disorder and the clinical misconceptions he’s faced as a young adult with a rare disease.

This is a great opportunity for future providers and genetic counselors to gain insight into the patient experience. 🧬🥼

We will be serving Porto’s and refreshments! 🥐

Such a great weekend, Jill and Cindy were able to attend NORD 2025 Breakthrough Summit in Washington, DC! It was amazing to connect with individuals in all walks of life within the Rare Disease Community. They were able to hear patients stories and journeys, connect with other Students For Rare Chapters, meet caregivers and practicing professionals within the Rare Disease industry, and explore all of the exciting new innovations happening within the community (with a side of sight seeing of course!) We cannot wait to implement all of the new knowledge into our KGI Students for Rare Chapter!

We are excited to hear about his work and hope to see you all there!🦓✨🥼
