Chilton County 4-H loves and appreciates our Chilton County Master Gardeners Association!! Thank you for all you do!!
We were so lucky to get to spend the afternoon in the beautiful Chilton Demo Garden for the Great Southeast Pollinator Census today!!

Their time, knowledge, and passion make a lasting difference across Alabama. In 2025, Alabama Extension Master Gardener Volunteers strengthened their communities through education, service, produce and plant donations, youth outreach, and countless meaningful connections.

Thank you to every Master Gardener Volunteer who generously shared their talents and remained committed to helping Alabama communities grow and thrive. Your impact reaches far beyond the garden, and we are grateful for all you do!

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON!

The Great Southeast Pollinator Census returns August 21–22, and now is the time to get ready to count.

Join Aubie and citizen scientists across the Southeast for this fun, 15-minute activity that helps researchers learn more about the pollinators visiting our gardens, yards and communities. Simply choose a flowering plant, count the insects that land on it and submit your results.

Mark your calendar, print your count sheet and get ready to put your eagle eyes to work!

CHICK CHAIN SHOW & AUCTION – CENTRAL SET!

It’s almost time for the Chick Chain Show & Auction for the Central Set, bringing together Autauga, Bibb, Chilton, and Elmore Counties!

We are so excited to have 10 Chilton County 4-Hers competing in the show! These 4-H members have worked hard all year on their Chick Chain projects, and we would love to see our community come out and support them!

Come out, cheer them on, and join the bidding fun and go home with a new chicken (or two!)

Another way you can support our 4-Hers:
If you do not want or need a chicken, you can purchase a chicken and donate the proceeds back to your county 4-H program while allowing the 4-Her to keep their chicken! It’s a win-win!
