During the (Oregon) summer, I would fly ✈️ to visit my family in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 and attend school to make friends and learn Spanish! I was a little exchange student.

Hello!

My name is Erin Lopez. My parents are from Costa Rica 🇨🇷 and Oregon, USA 🇺🇸. I am bicultural and grew up bilingual learning Spanish by attending school in the summer with my cousins in Costa Rica. I continued to take Spanish courses in middle school and at an International Baccalaureate® (IB) high school.

In high school I had the life-changing amazing experience of being an exchange student for two months with Partners of the Americas Oregon Costa Rica HS Host & Exchange Program (information will be in Bio and stories) where I got to see and know a whole other side of Costa Rica other than my own family 🇨🇷!

I previously worked as a an instructional assistant at a local bilingual dual immersion elementary school with k-5 for 5 years and have continued to tutor Spanish since 2012.

I am currently continuing my college education to pursue a BA and Masters in Education and Spanish.

I have had the great privilege to travel to Costa Rica 🇨🇷 my whole life! It truly is my other home.

I would like to share it with you!

Spanish is a great tool and would help you experience what Costa Rica is internationally known for: ¡Pura Vida! The gates to learning await!
