As National Pharmacy Week comes to a close, we would like to recognize the invaluable contributions pharmacists, student pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians are making in our community. Today is the 10th World Day a day we recognize ’ role in transforming global health and the contributions they make in delivering safe, effective, quality medication therapy. During the pandemic, pharmacists and pharmacy personnel have stepped up to make sure the public is cared for, even at the risk of exposure. UC students are representing the APhA-ASP advocacy page! Even in the midst of this pandemic, UC's APhA-ASP chapter has been hard at work fighting for our profession and has currently organized a letter writing campaign! Way to go!!!
Congratulations to the Class of 2020 on officially completing pharmacy school! We are so proud of how far you have come and are excited to see what you will accomplish in the future. We wish you the best as you begin your careers as pharmacists!

Last week our college hosted a delegation from Ghana, Africa. We are partnering with them as they launch a new pharmacy school and a PharmD program. Their pharmacy dean, David Darko Obiri, unexpectedly passed away shortly after landing back in Africa. Our thoughts and prayers are with them in their time of loss.
