Time is running out to register your 8th grade daughter for our High School Placement Test (HSPT) Prep course! Our 4-week course, taught by Mercy McAuley Math Teacher Mrs. Sam Duncan, takes place on the four Saturdays leading up to the test. The class reviews academic content, teaches study skills, familiarizes students with the test format, and helps ease any test anxiety. Cost is $100, which includes a copy of the study book. Registration is required at www.mercymcauley.org/hsptprep.

Thank you to all our generous benefactors who joined us last night for our 1831 Society "Evening of Gratitude" event! Our guests enjoyed dinner and heard remarks from President Brigitte Foley and Ava Thelen '27, who spoke about her amazing Mercy McAuley experience. We are also grateful to all the students who volunteered at the event; our guests enjoyed their company and conversation during dinner!

We are incredibly grateful to all who support our mission and our students through their generous gifts to Mercy McAuley!

What a colorful day! Today we held an 8-station Sources of Strength Color Walk! The Color Walk celebrated the different Sources of Strength that help students navigate challenges, build resilience, and feel connected to their school community. Students walked through the eight color stations as they were “showered” with bright colored powder along the course! Each station represented one of the eight areas of strength that students can draw on in their everyday lives: Family Support; Positive Friends; Mentors; Healthy Activities; Generosity; Spirituality; Physical Health; Mental Health. Walking through each color station reminded students that they have many sources of strength around them and within themselves, and that they don’t have to face challenges alone.

Mercy McAuley partners with Sources of Strength, an evidence-based and strengths-based approach to mental health promotion. Thank you to our Sources of Strength student leaders and our social worker, Mrs. Ginter, for planning this super fun activity in support of mental health awareness!

Special thanks to our team trainer, Jess Black, along with her colleague Al Ducker, who spoke to sophomores and juniors in our Women Lead Medicine program about their careers as Athletic Trainers. Students also learned the basics of suturing and practiced suturing bananas! We are grateful to Mercy Health for their continued support of our Women Lead Medicine program!
