At Hamilton County ESC, we have the opportunity to visit schools and districts across the region and help tell stories that matter.
Recently, one of our Speech-Language Pathologists connected with the Marketing and Communications team about an adapted toys event at Great Oaks Career Campuses with students from Mt Healthy City Schools.
Adapted (or switch-adapted) toys are battery-operated toys modified with an easy-to-press button, allowing individuals with motor limitations to play independently. While these toys are often expensive, partnerships with students and community organizations help make them accessible for under $10.
Together, we can make play more accessible and affordable for all children.
Collaborating with our internal teams and partner schools is at the heart of our work every day.
