⭐️ Congratulations to our 3-year 🎹 student, Rae!

Rae is truly a bright star in our school. She is a joy to teach and has made incredible growth on the piano since she started at 11 years old. Playing early intermediate music now, she enjoys learning piano every week for fun even with her packed school and extracurricular schedule, and her goal piece since she started is to play “Golden Hour” by JVKE by the time she graduates high school (we believe she’ll reach that goal for sure 😉) Bravo Rae, we’re so proud of you!

CONGRATS to George for ⭐️ 3 YEARS ⭐️ of piano at Evergreen!

George is one of the kindest souls you’ll ever meet. He is so creative, from his intricate drawings to writing his own songs, and has a clever sense of humor. He is incredible with rhythms and has grown so much in his piano playing especially this year, playing elementary level music!

We want to say a BIG CONGRATS to our very first SIX YEAR Evergreen student: Tahlia! 🎉

Starting at just 3 years old, Tahlia has gone from tiny finger taps on middle C to playing late elementary level pieces with confidence and poise (and LOTS of Sound of Music). She LOVES piano and she is incredibly kind, encouraging, and fun-loving. Fun fact: she’s played in over 20 recitals since she was 4!

Even though she started lessons with Miss Niki before Evergreen as we know it today even existed, she deserves to receive every bit of this trophy and is truly the very FIRST to reach this milestone 🏆 Bravo Tahlia, we are so proud of you!!

It is our absolute pleasure to introduce you to our newest and fourth faculty member of Evergreen Music School, Ms. Olexia Merchant!

Olexia Merchant, BM, NCTM earned a degree in Keyboard Pedagogy from Cedarville University, graduating with highest honors. During her time at Cedarville, she was actively involved in both teaching and performing. She won the Cedarville University Concerto Competition, performed as a featured soloist with the university orchestra, and presented recitals as both a soloist and collaborative pianist. Her teachers include Robert Durso, James Litzelman, and John Mortensen.

Originally from Maryland, Olexia has maintained a private piano studio for the past eight years, teaching students of various ages and skill levels. While she enjoys performing, her greatest passion is teaching and helping students develop a lifelong appreciation for music.

As a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music, Olexia provides engaging, high-quality instruction that fosters excellence, artistry, and a genuine love of music. She loves to incorporate music history into her lessons, making it accessible and enjoyable for all students, including even her youngest beginners.

Olexia will be teaching both piano foundations labs and private piano lessons.

We are elated to have Olexia joining our team. She naturally embodies the Evergreen mission and is a warm, patient, and passionate teacher and musician.

Congratulations to Kingston on 🎉 3 YEARS 🎉 of piano at Evergreen!

Kingston approaches music in a beautifully analytic way, noticing the details, asking thoughtful music questions, and persevering until he’s reached his goal. His presence makes his classmates and teachers smile and we are just so proud of all the progress he has made from a complete little beginner to now a confident elementary player! Bravo!

It’s been a wonderful summer at Evergreen! ☀️

Our fall 🍁 lesson schedules are now available on our website for booking trial lessons in piano foundations lab, private piano, and private guitar.

Our new sign outside has helped make us more popular in the area lately and spots have been going faster than previous years, so learn more and book a trial today 🎹 🎸

🎮 Last day 😭 recap of the whole week! Today campers made crazy chord combos out of their Minecraft blocks, played duets and solos on the piano, and worked on final projects that focused on a real or made up video game-everyone chose to make a video game soundtrack with extra sound effects on GarageBand for their final projects!
Bravo to all our campers for completing TEN piano lab lesson blocks in one week, their creativity and hard work during design projects and games, and for all their incredible progress on the piano (one even finished their book level mid-week!!). 🎹
