Thanks once more to PSO for squeezing us into their busy shop schedule to knock out 222’s 100-hr inspection before this weekend’s checkrides. The autopilot was officially diagnosed as a fried control box, so it’ll remain deactivated until the owner decides to replace it.

We haven’t determined if mikeroweWORKS distinguishes between Pt 141 vs Pt 61, the scholarship administrator couldn’t answer the question via email, so we encourage clients to apply anyway and we’ll see what happens.

Hello, I'm Jeff Smith, the new spokes model for Queen City Flying Service. To say we’re proud of Wittley Williams would be a massive understatement! She had to apply for a medical waiver and then take essentially a checkride with an FAA examiner to get the waiver. Armed with that experience, she crushed Stage 1 and has reached FIRST SOLO!!! Congrats to CFIs Michael and Jack for working through this unique situation with her, and there’s no doubt Wittley will reach her goal of certification quite soon.

Huge congratulations to Michael Strady on his successful Private Pilot certification!!! It’s been quite a journey from soloing at 16 a little more than a few years ago and then having to set aside flying until now. He came to us right after Labor Day, “re-soloed” in short order, and then cruised through XC phase. Mike capped off his course with an extra long XC over to Indianapolis for his checkride because of the extreme shortage of examiners in Cincinnati. Thanks to JC Buehler for once again working us into his checkride schedule, and congrats to Mike’s CFIs Michael Brands and Jack van Norman. On to Instrument!
