Yes, most of the Gyms are closed down, but we are unstoppable!!! Forget the old calendar, UJIs are figuring out ways to keep the spirit going, and we are bringing U-Jam to you digitally!

Keep following us closely to Jam Diego as UJIs are doing pop up classes both physically and digitally. We are trying out different methods to bring you the best, give yourself a little more time to get things set up so you will be ready when we go live!

Nicole is a professional dancer, choreographer and instructor in Los Angeles that is from the Bay Area. (Yay Area - stand up!) Ok, back to more on Nicole!

She has choreographed for the likes of Prince, Iggy Azalea, Gwen Stefani, Nicole Scherzinger, Kehlani, Hyolyn, NBC World of Dance, Melii, Ceelo Green & more. On the community side, Nicole has also choreographed for hip hop companies such as: The Lab, immaBEAST, GRV and Gravy Babies.

DJ Makaio and Susy C. were looking for a Jam that resembled “Floor on Fire.” OGs we think you remember that one from your video assessment days, right? Well, this one has driving drum rhythms that they had more bass added to give that complete urban feel.

What started as a Cardio 2 Jam quickly turned into a Cardio Toning Jam. Dom-P wanted to ensure the WOD U-Fam worked the lower body and got to ride the drum beats. The definite changes in music (sirens anyone?) called for a change of choreo - from rockin’ pivots to the funky Steve Martin).

Feel the burn with this one and set the floor on “Fiya Fiya!”

You know him from the heels choreo that dropped in November ‘19 - “Bad Gyrl." We’re talking about Southern California choreographer - David Slaney II!

David currently teaches at three studios: Millennium Dance Complex OC, Snowglobe Perspective, and Orange County Music & Dance. Aside from teaching, David has had the opportunity to choreograph/dance for several up & coming young artists as well as create online dance tutorials with Steezy. Recently, David founded an all female heels dance company called The Vixens. He also works as a Co-Director for the Junior Hip Hop team, Zero Below, at Snowglobe Perspective.

His inspirational choreography is one that is sure to make you want to drop it and shake a lil’ something! Be on the lookout for his new bangin' choreo.

DJ Makaio and Susy C. knew the Jam library was missing a song that had a Bay Area feel and a lil’ something else, too. The thumpin’ bass and kick drum with a ratchet party beat had them sold! It’s our homage to Saweetie (yes, she’s from the 916) and The City Girls (305).

Ebonee and Janice “JJ-FaB” knew it was time to bring a choreo that made you wanna shake a lotta something. Susy C. gave the permission to let loose and that they did. Dance like everyone's watching - cuz they will with this one, Fam. Do It and turn all the way up with this Jam!

It’s our ten year anniversary and we have to take this Jammin’ party back where it all started - the Bay Area! That’s right, we are U-Trippin’ and taking UnityFest 2020 to Santa Clara, CA.

What’s UnityFest?

UnityFest started in in San Ramon, CA, as a way to unite instructors and students from around the world for JAM-packed days of dance, fun and UNITY. The event made its way to San Diego, CA in 2018 and then to Anaheim, CA in 2019. Now the biggest fitness party of the summer is making it’s return and “going, going back, back to Cali,” okay, Santa Clara, CA. Every year just keeps getting better and better!

If you love to dance and are ready to connect with friends who will soon become family, you must attend UnityFest 2020. It’s happening June 25 - 28, 2020.
