Congratulations CHS Wildcat Lisa Curley!! The Gates Scholarship is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. It supports outstanding high school seniors. The award covers the full cost of attendance not already met by other financial aid (tuition, housing, books, and more). Selection is based on strong academics, leadership, and personal drive, with an emphasis on helping students complete college and succeed in their careers.

Congratulations!! Aimee Lee (senior) proudly represented Chinle High School, as she has successfully passed the Navajo Language Proficiency assessment and has been awarded a Bilingual Seal as an Advanced Speaker. Aimee Lee is a student in Ms. Farrah Begay's Navajo Language class. Chinle High School is honored to be among a select few schools across the reservation to have a student recognized with such a distinguished award.
The Department of Dine Education (DODE) - Office of Standards, Curriculum & Assessment Development honored students who demonstrated proficiency in the Dine Language and successfully passed the 2025 Navajo Nation Seal of Bilingual Proficiency Assessment. This esteemed recognition was celebrated during a banquet held at the Fire Rock Casino in Gallup, NM on April 17, 2026.
