TOMORROW is the day! ELECTION DAY! I am humbled by the support and encouragement I have received thus far; now there’s only one thing left to do…get out and vote TOMORROW! I would be honored to have the chance to serve our school district and community as a member of the board of education. I want to ensure that every student receives a top-notch education, and that Chillicothe R-II School District continues its long-standing tradition of excellence. Go Hornets!! ❤️🖤

Congratulations to the Chillicothe Hornet and Lady Hornet basketball teams on an outstanding season! This season was extra special to me because it was the first time I got to watch my daughter step on the basketball court in a CHS Lady Hornet uniform. Athletics were a huge part of my time at CHS, and my fondest memories and some of the most important life lessons learned came from the basketball and tennis courts and the track. ❤️🖤

Hi! I’m Megan (Beetsma) Lent, and I am a candidate for the Chillicothe R-II School Board in the upcoming election on April 8th, 2025. I was born and raised in Chillicothe, and I am a 2003 graduate of Chillicothe High School. My husband, Mike, is also a Chillicothe native and CHS alum, and we have two children. Our daughter, Emmy, is a freshman at CHS, and our son, Cooper, is a 5th grader at Chillicothe Elementary School, and they are proud fourth generation Hornets! Although my professional training and career pulled us away from Chillicothe for several years, we were extremely excited when the opportunity arose for us to move back home in 2022. Earning a seat on the board of education would be a wonderful opportunity for me to serve and would allow me to give back to the community and the school district. I want to ensure that the students of the district will continue to be provided with a high quality education and excellent opportunities to prepare them for their future. My roots run deep here, and having two kids currently in the district, I have a vested interest in ensuring continued success for our students, our school district, and our community now and for generations to come. I would appreciate your support and your vote on April 8th. Let’s go Hornets! ❤️🖤
