Home Business Systems.org was founded because of a perceived need that people have in selecting a business that matches their skills, needs and values; particularly Christian values and principles. Millions of families have been set free from corporate employment via home-based businesses, yet even more millions have lost money, wasted time and suffered disappointment after joining business opport
unities that were bogus or didn’t meet their expectations. At the blog you will find free resources for selecting the right business for you and then you will find the training and tools you will need to successfully operate your business. Initial free counseling sessions are available upon request. Dan and Debbie Gibson are the founders of HBS. Dan grew up in and worked in his family’s businesses which included family resorts, a gift shop, car wash, automotive repair franchise and commercial real estate rentals. He is a Marine Corps veteran of the Viet Nam War. Dan left his family’s business when a network marketing business he joined was earning him more, part time, then he was earning in management with his family operations. He went on to reach top positions with several networking companies and served on their corporate training staffs. He left networking in the mid-seventies to enter the corporate world and served in senior executive positions with several national and international companies. Having become a Christian in 1975, Dan became increasingly disenchanted by the dog-eat-dog corporate world and he sensed a call to serve in Christian ministry. Since the late eighties he has been an ordained minister and has served as a church-planter in a conservative, Bible-believing denomination. Dan and Debbie raised five children together and Debbie home-schooled the kids. In 1997, the Gibson’s were planting a new church in Missouri and their income was less than needed for basic food, clothing, utilities and transportation. Dan’s worse day ever was when Debbie came into his study with tears running down her face and said, “I don’t have money for groceries, what do you want me to do?” He was working long hours planting the new church, doing graduate studies and publishing a print newsletter. But he knew that they either needed to find a way to earn additional income or he would have to quit ministry to provide for his family. Next was the search for something they could do from home to earn money. Debbie advertised to do computer work and since that failed she offered to clean houses. Nothing worked and our situation seemed hopeless until a fellow minister sent us information on a new company that he had joined. Our goal was to earn an extra $500 per month but by our 3rd month we passed $1,000 and by our 10thth month our checks reached five figures. Our transportation at that time was an aged former Holiday Inn shuttle van with a valve out of the engine. In less than one year we earned a new luxury car, an expense-paid trip to Switzerland and those unbelievable five-figure monthly checks, which rose to over $40,000 per month in ensuing years. And all of this was part-time while still home-schooling our kids and continuing to plant churches in Missouri and then Wisconsin and Illinois. As a direct result of home financial independence we have been able to serve in ministry with minimal (or sometime no) compensation and have lived a dream lifestyle, traveling over much of the world and taking our children on educational trips to many countries. We are grateful. They keys to our business success were finding a company that we loved, working hard (even though we started with just a few hours per week) and providing TRAINING and support for our team that they, too, could achieve their goals. Over the years, Dan travelled across the country giving free, intensive, 3-day workshops and “boot camps”. Many of today’s successful networkers gained the knowledge and skills they needed to advance their careers in Dan’s workshops. Today, you don’t have to travel to attend Dan and Debbie’s training since technology makes it possible to share what we have learned in written, audio and video form. We enjoy hearing from you and appreciate your sharing this website with others.
