🚀 STEM Day Highlights! 🧬🎮🛸
This past Saturday, our Upward Bound scholars took part in a fun, hands-on STEM Day full of learning and discovery!
🔹 Practiced medical suturing techniques
🔹 Learned to fly drones
🔹 Explored STEM-based gaming to strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving; skills essential in science and tech!
Proud of our students for diving in and leveling up their STEM skills! 💡

Wrapping up the Summer 2025 --- UB scholars engaged in an immersive, hands-on experience that fosters team-building, collaboration, and communication skills. Through the exciting Beat the Bomb escape room challenge, students applied critical thinking, problem-solving, and chemistry knowledge—exploring real-world science concepts through interactive "mixtures" and experimental puzzles.
Students also received an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour showcasing the technology and innovation behind the game’s design. This unique opportunity connects directly to UB's academic objectives in math, science, and English, inspiring students to explore the worlds of STEM, creativity, and teamwork in a fun and memorable way.👇👇👇

The UB scholars annual banquet was held last night 7.8.2025. The passport to success academic year did not disappoint. The scholars were able to showcase their projects from the academic year and Summer. All UB scholars presented themselves very well. Our motivational speaker was Dreson Russell, Executive Director & Co-Founder of Project EMS- informed students of these important inspirational: "I am not different just determined " Do not have to be perfect to be successful just persistent" "Not famous but focused "
