It’s time for the 12th annual Local Nursery Crawl! This is a community event to highlight all the wonderful nurseries and plant shops our area has to offer our community ✨
Go one day go both! Whatever you choose! Pick up a flyer with all 13 participating nurseries at your first stop. Get a stamp at each spot you go and get entered into a raffle for a gift certificate at the 6th nursery you visit.

MUME FARM WILL BE AT OUR NURSERY CRAWL FARMER’S FAIRE - SATURDAY THE 28TH! 🌸
Mume Farm is family owned and operated in Orland. Founded in 1983 is dedicated to preserving the traditional Japanese craft of umeboshi making by growing Ume Stone Fruit using only farming practices. They specialize in hand crafting authentic aged umeboshi here in Northern California.
UMEBOSHI – UME SYRUP – UME VINEGAR – UME CONCENTRATE
Umeboshi is a Japanese preserved food made from Ume stone fruit (Prunus mume) —often called the Japanese plum, though botanically closer to an apricot. For centuries in Japan they have been revered as a traditional superfood, prized for their bold salty-tart flavor and long associated with digestion, vitality, and everyday wellness.
For many years, Kinney Nursery and Topsoil has provided organic compost soil for Mume Farm.

Little Red Hen Nursery’s doors opened in 2003, they employ disabled adults and all of our profits help to fund our programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Located at 189 East 8th Street in Downtown Chico (on the corner of 8th & Wall).
The Nursery carries everything from soil and seeds to yard art and pottery (and all things in between). We grow a wide range of Proven Winners stock, and are well known for our interesting varieties of veggie starts (especially peppers and tomatoes). We have an ever expanding selection of California Native plants, unique varieties of landscaping plants and shrubs, and house plants.
There are 13 Local independent nurseries (including .nursery) and plant shops on the Crawl this year! Mark your calendars 🗓️ Bring some friends and join us March 27th and 18th 🌱 We can’t wait to see you!

Good Morning Nor-Cal gardeners, we are just two weeks away from our bi-annual Local Nursery Crawl! We are excited to have yet another vendor join us!
RIVER-HOUSE SOURDOUGH, will be joining us to bring you muffins, sourdough, biscotti and more!
So if you looking for plants, rock, soil, mulch, irrigation, gardening supplies, vegetables plants, breakfast, lunch with tacos_el_88, and coffee, you should definitely stop by on March 28! 8AM-4PM!
