As we begin our final week of school for this year, today is "Dress like your teacher" day! This is shaping up to be a fun final week of school!

We had this year's final awards ceremony this morning, honoring the Virtue of the Month (Perseverance) Awards, Kindness Awards, and the 4th and 5th grade Academic On-Point Awards. Congratulations!

Today, fourth grade students presented their "Wax Museum" to the school. They did research on their chosen historical figure, dressed as that person, and recited a brief summary to anyone stopping by to view them in this "wax museum". They will be on display again tonight during Open House, from 5:30-6:30, so don't miss it! There are a wide variety of historical people to hear from and learn about.

Last Friday we celebrated our Virtue of the Month (Honor), Kindness, and On Point Academic awards! Congratulations!!!

Yesterday, in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday, we celebrated Read Across America with an assembly featuring readers from our community - our own principal, a chico police officer (who actually went to Marigold as a kid), a nurse, and local children's book author Lori Chergosky, who taught here at Marigold for 15 years. Thank you, community, for demonstrating the importance of reading.
