Zak Elstein, our amazing Wellness Coach , was awarded the Terri Tozier ‘Where Students Come First’ Award. The award was created in 2016 to honor staff who go above and beyond for our students. Our Snr. Director of Alt Ed, Nick Catomerisios stated “Zak creates a safe, welcoming space where students feel cared for and understood and that’s what opens the door for them to access their education.” We count our lucky stars for our Zak!

The BCCS team is excited to start a new school year! Doors open at 8:30am and class starts at 9am, this coming Wednesday, August 12th. School will be 9am - 2 pm for the week.

Many thanks to the Butte County Local Food Network!!!! Butte County Local Food Network donated heaping bags of local fresh produce to our BCCS families weekly. Community partners like the local food network, shows our students the importance of community and the possibilities of what our county can provide. Thank you!

Thermalito Union Elementary Nutrition Services is excited to offer free meals this summer!

We are committed to making sure every student has access to healthy breakfast and lunch options throughout the summer sessions. Meals are available to all children and teens 18 and under. No application, registration, or identification is required to receive meals.
