During the seminar in Chicago on November 14-16 2025, Kristen Grancalek passed exam for 1st Kyu brown belt. She has been with our group for 4+ years now. In addition to Kihon and Kumite, she tested on Tekki-Shodan and Bassai. Congratulations to Kristen! See you all next year in November!

Dear Friends:
It is my great pleasure to announce that Mr. Goran Sovtic of Belgrade, Serbia and Mr. William Baxter of Austin, TX are my successors in Shoto-Kai Murakami-Kai Karate-Do.
Goran was born in 1972 and begun his practice in 1984 in Belgrade; he studied with several teachers in Europe, including myself. Goran has been running karate clubs in Belgrade for over thirty years.

William was born in 1962 and begun his practice in 1987 in Paris; he started with the Paris group and with myself. William headed clubs in New York City, Chicago and Austin, TX. He attended numerous seminars in Michigan, and lately in Paris and Serignan Plage.

I know that both Goran and William carry proper teaching of our lineage, each in his own way.
