Our Primary Sports Day 2026 was SO. MUCH. FUN. Students had the opportunity to test their athletic skills and practice sportsmanship through a series of races, relays, and games. During Sports Day, our school Houses compete against each other, earning points for their teams not just for wins, but also for good attitudes, teamwork, spirit, and fairness.

Thank you to all the staff, especially our Athletic Director, Jack Bartlett, who made Sports Day possible. It is a massive effort of organization, coordination, and adaptability, especially when storms began to roll in!

Another big thank you to our secondary students who helped out in the gym and the field!

With our Year 6 student's graduation ceremony yesterday, we officially mark the end of graduation season at BISC South Loop! The ceremony featured student speakers and a stellar musical performance featuring student singers, percussion, ukulele, guitar, and more!

It's almost hard to believe that these students are BISC South Loop's Class of 2033, but Year 7 is more than a new chapter; it’s also the start of something bigger! From middle school to high school graduation, we’re looking forward to guiding, challenging, and supporting students every step of the way. Congratulations on beginning your Secondary journey!

Our Secondary Residential Trips week is in full swing! Our students have scattered all over -- from Switzerland, to the Smoky Mountains, to Japan, to Washington D.C. and even right here in our own Chicago community!

This week is all about learning adventures, new experiences, and camaraderie! From hiking to site-seeing, service projects, and more, our students are getting out in the world and growing together.

Last Friday, we celebrated a truly special group of students who have grown, achieved, and inspired us in so many ways. From classroom milestones to unforgettable memories, this class has left a lasting mark on our community, and we couldn’t be more proud.

As they take this exciting next step, we know they are ready to lead, explore, and continue shining bright wherever their journeys take them.

And we’re already looking ahead with excitement as we prepare to welcome and support the Class of 2030 in the year ahead. An incredible future awaits!

Our Year 3 and 4 students recently spent three incredible days on the farm, immersing themselves in hands-on learning, nature exploration, and outdoor fun. From caring for animals to discovering where food comes from, this trip brought the classroom to life—building confidence, curiosity, and lifelong memories along the way.

Yesterday, we were thrilled to welcome our Class of 2030 middle schoolers to high school! We hosted a special lunch for our incoming Year 10 students, complete with pizza and exclusive Class of 2030 swag.

While their graduation day may feel far away, it will be here before we know it—and the journey ahead is filled with endless opportunities and unforgettable memories. From beginning IGCSEs and joining high school–exclusive clubs, to traveling to Tanzania, pursuing internships, stepping into leadership roles, and ultimately becoming IB students, the path ahead is both exciting and transformative.

Before long, they’ll be applying to top universities and walking across the stage at graduation. We can’t wait to see all they accomplish—and we hope they’re just as excited for what’s ahead as we are!
