Dr. Grant, who teaches History at Art In Motion, said it best after today’s Hip-Hop DetoxX PD:

“It was dope.”

Not because it was flashy.
Not because it was long.
But because it was ACTIVE.

We weren’t just sitting.
We were building.
We were collaborating.
We were communicating — sometimes without even speaking.

Through the tower-building challenge, educators experienced what our students experience every day:
• The importance of listening without interrupting
• The power of nonverbal communication
• The value of structure and foundation
• The meaning behind working together toward a shared goal

Dr. Grant highlighted how the activity brought real meaning to the work we do — reminding us that education isn’t just about content delivery… it’s about connection, clarity, and culture.

When adults experience the lesson, the lesson sticks.
