Celebrating Women’s Equality Day
Today, we recognize Women’s Equality Day, commemorating the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1920, a landmark moment in the fight for women’s voting rights and gender equality. The day serves as both a celebration of progress and a reminder that the pursuit of equality continues.
Women’s Equality Day is an opportunity to honor the women whose courage and advocacy helped shape history, celebrate the achievements and contributions of women today, and reflect on the work still needed to build a more equitable future.

Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when the final enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas learned of their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
As we commemorate this important day, we reflect on the progress made, acknowledge the work that remains, and celebrate the contributions, culture, and achievements of Black communities.
