Do you know someone considering NEIU? Invite them to Latinx College Day at El Centro this Saturday, March 1, starting at 8:30 am with a tasty breakfast. We'll guide students through all their next steps. We're here to support.

El Centro is here to help you with your financial aid. Join us this Saturday, Feb. 22, starting at 10am. We're located at 3390 N. Avondale. Everyone is welcome!

All Northeastern locations will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20, in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. University locations are scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 21

Earlier this week, the El Centro team had the privilege of hosting a retreat at The National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts & Culture. Immersing ourselves in Puerto Rican history reminded us of the richness of our own stories and experiences.

We’re excited to share a few captivating moments from the day, including exhibits like Los Reyes Magos, El Espíritu Santo by Juan Sánchez, liminal: LGBTQ+ Chicago – Boricua Imaginings, and creating our collages.

As we embrace the spirit of the season, we wish you all the safest and happiest holidays as we head into the winter break!

Last week, El Centro hosted a joyful holiday celebration in partnership with ABE-LINC, Northeastern Illinois University’s Center for College Access and Success, and STEAM Pathways. The event was filled with delicious food, laughter, and a spirited white elephant gift exchange to usher in the holiday season. A way to kick off the holiday spirits!
