Nurse Empowerment of Practice

Date: Mar 22 β€’ 10:00 am

Join NursingExcellece Continuing Education Series for a day of empowerment and skill-building for nurses to enhance their practice and make a real impact in healthcare.

Attend "a day filled with inspiration and education at Malcolm X College! This event is designed to empower nurses in their practice, providing valuable insights and tools to enhance their skills and confidence.

Shaping an optimal nursing practice environment requires analyzing legislation and developing policy advocacy skills. Review your state's Nurse Practice Act, assessing language, scope, licensure, and conduct standards. Examine how laws at all levels impact practice. Identify provisions empowering nurses' autonomy.

To advocate effectively, prioritize key issues aligned with your values. Build relationships and join groups to amplify your voice. Stay informed on proposed legislation. Craft clear, evidence-based messages articulating your position. Take strategic actions like writing legislators, testifying, or joining committees.
By analyzing regulations and honing advocacy skills, you can champion policies enabling nurses to provide high-quality care to the fullest extent of their expertise."
