🌞 There’s still time to register for Morton Elementary’s Summer Enrichment Program!

Morton Elementary is excited to partner with Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development (CTD) to offer engaging, hands-on summer enrichment courses for students in PreK–8th grade.

Session 2 begins Monday, July 6, and there’s still time to enroll!

Students will dive into exciting, inquiry-based learning through courses designed to spark creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning.

Session 2 Courses
🎨 PreK–K: Colors, Shapes, and Patterns in Nature
🦁 Grades 1–2: Animal Superpowers: Nature’s Incredible Engineers
🏛️ Grades 3–4: Mythology: Heroes, Monsters, and Legends
🦸 Grades 5–8: Beyond Human: The Biology and Physics of Superpowers

Program Details
📅 July 6–16, 2026
🗓️ Monday–Thursday
🕘 9:00 AM–1:00 PM

🍎 Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Students are also welcome to bring their own lunch if preferred.

🎄 Celebrate the Season with These Community Holiday Events! 🎁

The holidays are here, and our community is hosting amazing events to spread joy, give back, and celebrate together. Check out the details below and join in the fun!

📍 December 18:
•Build Chicago | 5100 W. Harrison | 5 PM - 8 PM
Enjoy fun games and take a photo with Santa!

•New Landmark Missionary Baptist Church | 2700 W. Wilcox | 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Learn how to heal during the holidays in a supportive environment.

📍 December 20:
•4215 W. West End | 4 PM - 7 PM
Meet Santa, enjoy holiday treats, and participate in a toy giveaway (while supplies last). Kids must be present to receive gifts.

📍 December 21:
•Holiday Baking | 325 S. California | 1 PM - 3 PM
Youth ages 11-17 can learn holiday baking skills. Call 773-420-8658 to reserve a spot—space is limited!

📍 December 24:
•Kells Park | 3201 W. Chicago Ave. | 12 PM
Free toys and coats for all children!

Wow!

With just a four day fundraiser, we purchased $17,000 of popcorn. We get 50 percent of that!!!!

This means that we will receive $8,500!!!!

Way to go Mustangs!!!!!
