Five years ago today, we marched on Springfield for marriage equality. One of the proudest days of my organizing life! Thanks to all who helped and came out that day. We STILL have to fight to make sure what rights we have are not stripped away--and there are still more rights to battle for. VOTE VOTE VOTE.

One year ago, on Oct. 22, 2013, we did the March on Springfield for Marriage Equality -- I told folks that was not it, and we must turn our energies next to other LGBT issues, including homeless youth. Well, we have hosted a huge summit on that topic, and many things are already moving forward. On the one-year anniversary of that March, Oct. 22 this year, there is a JOB FAIR with a focus on youth but open to ALL ages. Midwesterners march on Chicago so marriage knows no borders!!! Monday, Aug. 25 @ 5:30pm
In less than three weeks, the Chicago-based 7th Circuit Court of Appeals will hear oral arguments on Indiana’s and Wisconsin’s marriage bans, which means we don’t have much time to waste.
It’s imperative that we show the courts that here in Indiana, we believe freedom means freedom for everyone. So on August 25th, the eve of oral arguments, marriage supporters from Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois and across the nation will rally in Chicago in support of the freedom to marry.
