DACA Update! Please share! Know the IHSCA DREAMers Club is here to help! Message us with your questions or concerns!
I've been some what quiet about this. Part of me wants to ignore it and believe that everything will be fine. But another part knows that I will be facing a huge obstacle, greater than I have ever faced before. Tomorrow, September 5th 2017, the fate of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program will be announced. Donald Trump plans to end the program and begin deportations afterwards. If he fails to do so, he would be facing legal consequences from several states. This decision will affect nearly a million Dreamers under this program including myself. Many have benefited from this program and fulfilled academic/professional success. Under all this mist, there is only thing that we are sure of. That united we stand and we are stronger. That we are not afraid of what is coming. This is our home now. We have come a long way for this. We are living the dream our parents and grandparents believed in when they came to the United States. We are living proof that dreams can be conquered. We may be knocked down, but we will always rise back up again and again. Whatever happens tomorrow, we will stand tall and keep fighting for this right that we deserve. Never stop dreaming ❤
