Este viernes celebramos a nuestros graduados de 8.º grado y el increíble camino que han recorrido como estudiantes bilingües. A lo largo de los años, aprendieron a pensar, comunicarse y crecer en dos idiomas, desarrollando no solo habilidades académicas, sino también una profunda apreciación por diferentes culturas y perspectivas.

Nos llena de orgullo verlos dar este próximo paso, llevando con ellos los valores, la fe y la confianza que han cultivado en nuestra comunidad. Sabemos que su educación bilingüe les abrirá puertas y les permitirá marcar una diferencia dondequiera que vayan.

Congratulations to the St. Procopius Class of 2026.

On Friday, we celebrated our 8th grade graduates and the incredible journey they have completed as bilingual learners. Throughout the years, they learned to think, communicate, and grow in two languages, developing not only strong academic skills, but also a deep appreciation for different cultures and perspectives.

We are proud to watch them take this next step, carrying with them the values, faith, and confidence they have built within our school community. We know their bilingual education will continue to open doors and empower them to make an impact wherever they go.

Antes de cruzar el escenario de graduación, la Clase de 2026 creó recuerdos que durarán toda la vida.

Desde compartir un desayuno juntos en Azul 18 Restaurant, disfrutar de juegos y risas en el arcade, y animar a los Los White Sox , hasta participar en una de las tradiciones más significativas de San Procopio: pintar su mural de clase, que permanecerá para siempre en nuestros pasillos como parte de su legado.

Estos momentos fueron mucho más que una celebración; fueron una oportunidad para reflexionar sobre las amistades, experiencias y recuerdos que han formado durante su camino bilingüe en San Procopio. ¡Estamos muy orgullosos de nuestros graduados!

Before walking across the graduation stage, the Class of 2026 spent time creating memories that will last a lifetime.

From sharing breakfast together at a local restaurant, enjoying games and laughter at the arcade, and cheering on the White Sox, to taking part in one of St. Procopius’ most cherished traditions, painting their class mural, which will remain in our hallways forever as part of their legacy.

These moments were more than just a celebration; they were a chance to reflect on the friendships, experiences, and memories that shaped their bilingual journey at St. Procopius. We are so proud of our graduates!

Celebrating Excellence in Bilingual Education!
We are proud to recognize the 8th grade St. Procopius students who earned the Seal of Biliteracy, an honor awarded to students who demonstrate a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in two languages.

This achievement reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and commitment to learning in our dual language program. As the only Catholic dual language school in Chicago, we are especially proud to see our students’ hard work recognized through this distinguished accomplishment.

Congratulations to our Seal of Biliteracy recipients! Your bilingual and biliterate skills are a gift that will open doors, connect cultures, and serve you well in high school and beyond.

Nos llena de orgullo reconocer a los estudiantes de octavo grado de San Procopio que obtuvieron el Sello de Bialfabetización (Seal of Biliteracy), un reconocimiento otorgado a quienes demuestran un alto nivel de dominio en hablar, leer y escribir en dos idiomas.

Este logro refleja años de dedicación, perseverancia y compromiso con el aprendizaje dentro de nuestro programa bilingüe. Como la única escuela católica bilingüe de Chicago, nos emociona ver que el esfuerzo de nuestros estudiantes sea reconocido a través de este importante honor.

¡Felicidades a nuestros estudiantes que obtuvieron el Sello de Bialfabetización! Sus habilidades bilingües y de lectoescritura en dos idiomas son un regalo que abrirá puertas, conectará culturas y los acompañará en la secundaria y más allá.
