Right-Brained Studio Mobile

A publication from 2000 with a segment about my philosophy and curriculum in regards to youth art mentoring. These ideas are more common place practice now, but was quite a difference from what was happening in most traditional school settings at the time.
Some of my class offerings were titled “Self Gallery” and “Studio U”, which I continue to offer in workshop formats.

Thankful for all of the knowledge and support I’ve gained throughout the years from the youth artists and families that I’ve worked with.

It’s an honor and privilege to work with these artists.

Right-Brained Studio | …the art of creative thinking! Last week, Right-Brained Studio was in Oak Park, IL! The Oak Park Public Library made for a great and inspiring setting to work on some sketching. Teen artist Caroline, age 16, used the architecture as her focus.

How to Teach Children to Care about Art Upon entering Frieze New York last May, I ran into a colleague with his two small children. As we crossed the threshold of the bustling fair tent, the kids sprang into action, making a beeline for a red Carsten Höller octopus.
