The Poretsky Aquatic Microbial Lab is a Visiting Research Specialist.

The research is centered on wastewater-based (WBE) to quantify viruses and other pathogens in samples from across the state of Illinois in association with public health departments and other research program goals. This is conducted with wastewater sample concentration, extraction, and -based molecular techniques, primarily in high-throughput manner, and is complemented by a strong background in .
