Dancing With Class (DwC) is the youth outreach partner of May I Have This Dance, Inc, and is a leading provider of in-school and after-school dance programs in Chicago and beyond. Through an innovative social and multi-cultural dance curriculum, DwC brings the Art & Etiquette of Dance into the lives of young people.
We are currently in need of energetic dance instructors to lead school-based dance classes for students in grades K-8. Applicants must have a background in dance (any style) and previous teaching experience. You will receive training on our curriculum â a great opportunity to expand your dance skills in Ballroom/Latin/Swing and cultural dance.
These are part-time positions (typically 2-8 hours per week), and applicants must have reliable transportation. All instructors must also pass a background check.
Requirements:
- AT LEAST two afternoons per week with availability between 2-5pm
- Attend fall training September 5th and 12th
- Willing to travel anywhere in the city to teach, especially Southwest side as we have a heavy concentration of programs in this region
- participation in DwC training and team player attitude!
- great rapport with people, especially kids
- strong dance background of any kind
