Attention Franklin Families! 🤸🏾‍♂️

The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago announced today that the Y is offering free memberships to Chicago teenagers all summer long. 🏃🏾

From Monday, June 8, through the end of August, young people between 12 and 18 can get free access to YMCA facilities, equipment, and programming. 🏋🏻‍♂️

The participating locations are:

Irving Park YMCA, 4251 W. Irving Park Rd.

Kelly Hall YMCA — 824 N. Hamlin Ave.

Lake View YMCA — 3333 N. Marshfield Ave.

McCormick YMCA — 1834 N. Lawndale Ave.

Rauner Family YMCA — 2700 S. Western Ave.

South Side YMCA — 6330 S. Stony Island Ave.

West Garfield Park YMCA — 4305 W. Madison St.

We can't wait to celebrate tomorrow! Before your Flyer heads to school, please remember:

🧦 Socks (required for inflatables)
🧴 Sunscreen
👟 Comfortable shoes
💧 A water bottle
🧢 A hat or sunglasses (optional, but recommended!)

📣Attn: Franklin Families!!📣 Field Day is THIS THURSDAY — one of our students’ favorite Franklin traditions! ☀️🎉🏃‍♀️

This fun-filled day brings our entire school community together and gives us all a chance to celebrate the last day of school with games, inflatables, activities, and lunch ❤️

But we can’t do it without your help! We’re looking for Level I or Level II parent volunteers and donations of snacks, water, and activity items to help make the day a success. Find the link in school communications or reach out if you’re able to help support this special day for our students! ✨

What a show! 🎸🎤🎭✨

Last week our talented student musicians and performers took the stage for the Ensemble Showcase, giving our community a chance to see all they’ve been working on this year. From rocking performances by our student bands to quick-thinking creativity from our improv group, the showcase was filled with energy, talent, and plenty of applause.

We are so proud of these Flyers for sharing their hard work and passion with us! ❤️ (and special thanks to Ms. Gray for coordinating one more performance during this busy season!)

We loved welcoming some future Flyers to Franklin! ❤️✈️

Our Pre-K friends from a nearby school visited FFAC to spend time with our Kindergarten students, tour the first floor, and get a glimpse of what KG life is all about. And of course, no visit would be complete without some time on the playground! 🛝☀️😄

We hope to see these smiling faces back at Franklin soon!
