Thanks for coming out, Green Wave!

We had perfect weather, a tour of MHS led by a couple of our former teachers, many laughs, and another cache of memories to add. What a great weekend!

If you had fun and took pictures, will you please post them?

The photos we took with the photographer at the VFW will be posted here Wednesday. I will tag as many as I can. I intend to submit the large group photo to the newspaper as well.

Congratulations to the winners of our door prizes!

Derron Jenkins, Steve Shewmake, and Stephanie Boyd were winners of Green Wave hats.

Jennifer Patterson Miller and Diane Berg Gillaspie were winners of custom Green Wave bags games.

The Grand Prize Winner was JD Graham, who took home his very own slightly-used Shakeweight.

Ever the science teacher, he demonstrated he already knows how to use it to maximum effect. He even taught Stephanie Boyd!

Friday night, please plan to meet at the football field pavilion at good ol' MHS at 7:00 pm.

Friday night's events are as follows:

7:00 - Catching Up & Refreshments

7:30 - Tour of MHS grounds and facilities, led by Larry Lilly, a former teacher of ours, and current Mattoon Superintendent

8:15 - Not-So-Old School Trivia
(Restrooms will be open; Thanks for reminding me, Zelly).

Saturday night's events on the VFW patio are:

6:30 - Cocktails (Cash Bar)
7:00 - Dinner (tea and lemonade provided)
7:30 - Group Photo
8:00 - Music from Amplified; Bags Tournament

Cocktail and dinner music provided by Madeline Horath; Dinner prepared by Class of 1991's Chris Eaton and his wife Kallene and Zelly Durbin.

We are very busy getting this reunion in motion!

There are still classmates who are discovering this is happening, so if you know of any who either don't use Facebook or haven't liked our page, please point them this way.

Please note that as we are restarting the reunion fund from scratch, admission must be paid regardless of whether you attend just one night or both. It will help immensely if you pay in advance so we don't have to hit you up at the party!

Hi Everyone! Preparations are in full swing! We've decided to revise our starting times to take the summer weather into consideration.

As a result, please plan to meet at MHS at 7:00 pm on Friday, July 15.

On Saturday, come to the VFW at 6:30 pm.
