Aleksa is a D3 from Plymouth, MN.
Her favorite ASDA experience has been the NLC in Chicago and annual boat cruise! If she had to eat one meal for the rest of her life, it would easily be the Christmas Ukrainian dinner. 🇺🇦🍴

Annmarie Schmid is our President-elect (will be our chapter’s president for the ‘23-‘24 year)! 🤩🫡

Annmarie is a D2 from Maple Grove, MN. Her favorite ASDA experience was getting to attend the ASDA District 8 Conference last February. “It was amazing to get to be a part of so many dental students advocating for our profession!” Her favorite meal is pasta with vodka sauce and favorite place she has traveled in Salzburg, Austria.

Her favorite ASDA experience has been the National Leadership Conference in Chicago (which is coming up soon 👀👀). If she had to eat one meal the rest of her life, it would be sushi!! 🍱🍣

District 8 has teamed up with Give Back A Smile and Kendra Scott Jewelry again(!) for a district-wide outreach event. If you’re not familiar, Give Back A Smile is the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s Charitable Foundation. GBAS provides survivors of domestic violence with a free, complete smile restoration due to dental injuries as a result of the abuse.

On ‼️Friday, October 14th from 3-5PM‼️Kendra Scott stores across the district have teamed up with GBAS for a special “Kendra Gives Back” day! 20% of in-store AND online purchases will go towards GBAS.

Next spotlight is our very own Treasurer, Emily Dolan!! 💵💵💵

Emily is a D2 from Oshkosh, WI.
Her favorite ASDA experience was helping out at the pre-dental committee Wax and Relax for local undergrad students. “It was so fun getting to know a couple incoming D1s as well as sharing some good tips to them!” The best place she has visited is London, England where she had the best Curry ever. 🍛
