Today we celebrated our incredible eighth graders at the Eighth Grade Luncheon! Scholars in the Top 10 received their cords, and we also recognized Honor Roll, Perfect Attendance, and Largest Growth in Reading achievements. Each scholar received a special award highlighting their contribution to the eighth-grade class. One of the most special parts of the celebration was watching our scholars and families cheer each other on with pride, encouragement, and Legacy Love. 💙🧡

Last week, Legacy celebrated Jedi Appreciation Week. Many of you know that we use the term “Jedi” to include both teachers and staff because it truly takes all of us to make Legacy such a special place for our scholars and community. Throughout the week, our Jedi received gifts and notes of appreciation, relaxed with massages, enjoyed Lindsay Italian Ice, created bouquets at the Flower Bar, grabbed treats from the Snack Cart, and wrapped up the week together on the patio at Mimi’s Craft Kitchen.
We are deeply grateful for the dedication and heart that our Jedi bring each and every day.

On Friday, Legacy hosted our 8th Grade Ribbon Pinning Ceremony. The celebration began with our scholars completing their Grad Walk as younger scholars lined the halls cheering them on. We then announced the Top 10 scholars before families took part in the ribbon pinning ceremony, pledging to stand beside their scholars through both the joyful and challenging moments ahead while sharing words of love and pride. There were many smiles and more than a few tears throughout the celebration.

8th Grade DC AultStarz!….Scholars had the honor of interviewing , Ruth Cohen, a 96-year-old Holocaust survivor. She answered that she never gave up and that hope and luck kept her alive. She has no survivor’s guilt because she is alive to share her story. Inspiring woman and great scholar questions!
