Kids Science Labs

Kids Science Labs And why is it that in the U.S. we don't actively teach kids how to design, create, build, and fully explore the science that they are curious about.

Innovative Science Classes for Kids I🥇 #1 Summer Camps | 🎉 Kids Birthday Party I 🚌 Field Trips | 🧪 Best STEM Program for Kids I💡 Unlocking kids’ curiosity & creativity
with multiple locations in Chicago and Seattle It all started in Chicago in 2010 when two dads, friends, and avid problem solvers, Shegan Campbell and Keith Norsym, decided that instead of trying to find a great idea, they wanted to

identify a problem that they were passionate about, and fix it. One Saturday afternoon at Panera Bread a few years ago, they asked...

"Why is it that all kids love science until about the 5th grade and then for the rest of their school years treat science as if it were boring, too difficult, or just not cool. Kids love science, so why do so few have an opportunity to explore it. Isn't science fun, mysterious, and engaging...?"

This made no sense to us. It's not just about biology, chemistry, or physics, because kids don't develop those specific interests until most often in high school or college. It's not about equations unless there is context for understanding why the equation is relevant. It's about exploring the fundamental questions that they ask parents everyday.

Most people think soap creates bubbles. 🫧It doesn't.

Soap simply gives water the ability to stretch without falling apart.

Rainbows are basically millions of tiny optical illusions happening at the same time. 🌈

Every raindrop acts like a tiny prism. As sunlight enters the drop, it bends and slows down, causing each color to spread out at a slightly different angle. The light then reflects inside the raindrop before bending one more time as it exits, creating the spectrum of colors we see.

One raindrop isn't enough—but when millions of them work together, they create one of nature's most incredible displays.

There are still plenty of summer adventures left. ☀️

At Kids Science Labs, every camp week is a brand-new adventure with 300+ hands-on science experiences designed to spark curiosity through building, experimenting, and discovering. One week they're launching rockets, the next they're making slime or exploring what's inside everyday technology.

If you're looking for a summer camp in Chicago that's genuinely fun and packed with real learning, we'd love to welcome your future scientist.

Think Chicago's hottest summer days are all about the air temperature? Think again.

When the sun beats down, dark surfaces like roads and parking lots absorb and store heat, with asphalt reaching temperatures of up to 150°F. Scientists call this the Urban Heat Island Effect, and it's one of the reasons cities can feel much hotter than nearby parks or suburbs.

At Kids Science Labs, we're all about turning everyday moments like this into opportunities to ask questions, explore, and discover how the world works. ☀️🔬

Reducing screen time can feel challenging—especially during long summer days.

The goal isn’t to fill every minute for your child. It’s to give them simple opportunities to build, move, create, and follow their curiosity.

Save these four ideas for the next time your child needs an offline adventure!

One small step for man. One giant leap for curiosity. 🌕

On July 20, 1969, Apollo 11 became the first mission to land humans on the Moon—showing the world what can happen when big questions meet bold ideas.

More than 50 years later, it's still inspiring the next generation to ask "What if?" and imagine what's possible.

🌙 Happy Moon Landing Day!

Happy National Ice Cream Day! 🍦

Before you enjoy your favorite scoop, here's a fun fact: the reason ice cream melts so quickly is the same reason it's so smooth and creamy.
