Today, after my walk I saw a van parked, with a mother sitting inside while her children joyfully played nearby. It brought back a flood of memories for me. This was me years back—same scene, different car color.

Back then, I would drive my little ones to the park, relishing those precious moments of quiet as they ran off to explore and play. I’d stay in the car, often catching up on my reading. It was like a 2-for-1 deal: they got their playtime, and I got a moment of peace and a chance to recharge.

As a mother, those small pockets of time can be invaluable. They remind us that while we are constantly giving to our children, it’s essential to carve out moments for ourselves as well. Whether it’s catching up on a good book, savoring a cup of coffee, or simply enjoying the tranquility of the park, these moments are a form of self-care that rejuvenate us.

At Leaders Wellness Suite, we understand the importance of these little breaks. They help us to be more present and engaged when we’re with our children. So, to all the wonderful parents out there juggling countless responsibilities, remember to take those moments for yourself. You deserve it.
