ATTENTION CHI TOWN UNDERGROUND FANS AND LISTENERS

Our last Friday night mix show with our current service provider Live365 will be next Friday 1-29-2016. This is due to licensing changes and royaltie fee changes this year.
We are currently looking at different providers and hope to continue what we started 7 years ago with Chi Town Underground. Thank you all for your support and positive comments throughout the years. We forged some great friendships and even had the privelidge to meet and hang out with several of you.
Music is the one thing that is universal and it transcends through all the different countries and nationalities. I'm proud of what we accomplished thus far but without you none of it would have been possible. I'd like to thank all the DJ's because due to their hard work we were able to offer such a wide variety of musical content. Thank you to the fans and listeners that tuned in week in and week out.
This is not a goodbye but rather a time to restructure and expand into different horizens. Sometimes change is good!

ATTENTION ALL LISTENERS TO LIVE 365- CHI TOWN UNDERGROUND INTERNET RADIO STATION

I wanted to make a public service announcement to all of of our Chi Town Underground Radio fans and listeners.
Our Radio host service LIVE 365 is in dire condition due the music licensing terms under which small and medium sized Internet radio broadcaster have been operating since 2006 expired at the end of 2015. At the same time, a special provision called the Webcaster Settlement Act of 2009 is set to expire in the new year, ending a 10-year period in which low-revenue online radio stations could pay lower royalties to labels than those paid by Pandora and other big webcast brands.

This basically means that Chi Town Underground Online Radio may be forced to go off the air by January 31, 2016. We are hopeful that we can contiunue to broadcast after January, 2016 with this provider but please stay posted to this fan page for important news and updates on where we may end up broadcasting from once the dust settles and the turmoil has ended.
We look forward to the continued success of bringing you the unique musical content that you have grown accustomed to.
For the past 7 years we experienced a tremendous amount of growth beginning within the Chicago market in 2008 and since have expanded our listening base throughout the US and most recently have gained success internationally. We will continue to bring you the Friday Night Mix shows up until we feel we can no longer support this venture with LIVE 365. We thank you for your support and look forward to making a new broadcasting home with a new provider if needed.

We will go non stop all day on New Years day with mixes from past guest DJ's we hosted in 2015.
I want to thank all the DJ's, artists, listeners, friends and family for your continued support in 2015. We love bringing these shows to you every week and thanks to you we now have a listening base in all 50 states and have grown Internationaly as well.
