Develop a learning profile that you can share with everyone who works with your child. This profile should be continually updated with collaboration from all those close to the child. This becomes the protocol for helping everyone support your child to feel “safe, accepted, and competent.” If I had my way, it would be a major addition to the IEP.

Never assume that your child isn't listening when you speak. Instead assume that he or she Can hear you and understands everything that is said. Use your words wisely and take some time to make some awesome memories today :)
