I provide one-on-one coaching to help people find more fulfillment and happiness in their work. In any case, you're pretty unhappy and looking for a better way.

We spend so much of our lives at work so it should feel good and light us up, right? Specifically, I work with young to mid-career professionals or entrepreneurs who are finding themselves stressed out, overwhelmed and know they need to make a change. Maybe you're starting to realize that your situation isn't sustainable (due to stress, unhappiness, exhaustion, or even feelings of disillusion). Ma

Letting go of suffocating storylines...waking up to better decisions. 👏

Currently reading this beautifully powerful book (swipe for cover 👉)

If I may rif on this passage...
It’s really describing the work of your freedom - to live the way that feels most true and authentic to you. ♥️ Walking away from what’s no longer working - a career/job that feels suffocating - is hard, but we can lean into the experience as an opportunity for huge inner growth and upleveling. When I left my job 6 years ago I was a mess. Major pain. S**t falling apart all over the place. I thought my life was over. In reality it was really only a death of the stories I held about myself and what possible. When I speak with my clients part of what I’m helping them do is wake up to their storylines. Wake up to what’s possible, the real potential for each of us to make much more self honoring choices. There’s a life glow up waiting on the other side of all the pain. 🤍

I’m currently working for a few hrs from a golf practice facility 🏌🏼‍♀️(my hubs has found a second office🤷‍♀️). This is a big sign on the wall in front of me. And woah, it really sums up how I’ve been feeling about some of my coaching sessions this week (I love a good pun 🙃). I’m super compassionate, patient, and understanding of why it’s so hard to make change, but at the end of the day you have to find your balls. There’s no scenario where you know exactly how things will play out and you know with certainty that you’re going to be successful at and enjoy what you do next. We can do our best to make sure we’re taking steps with our eyes open, but it’s always, always, always going to feel a bit like feeling around in the dark and scary. Thats just how life is. And if you’re listening to yourself, following your truth and doing what you want instead of following the script, you’re always going to feel a little “out there on a limb.” I do everyday. And that’s where you’re going to need to find courage, conviction, and feel in your bones that you’re committed to putting you and your happiness ahead of the fear and all the mental noise/chatter - the comparisons, the what if’s, the perceived judgments etc. I’ve learned from experience, my safety is not in living a life aimed at “playing it safe.” My actual safety in life is in deeply listening to me, in building a life from my truth, that honors who I am and what I want. Ironically, my safety is found out on that limb.

I’m not usually so direct. Because I want to hold the energy of compassion and love for all the fear and pain that’s arising, but at the same time - find your balls. Learn to lean into and get comfortable in the unknown. It’s where you get to live life on your terms. 🤍

Be you. It’s not only way more enjoyable, it’s necessary. 💫

A lot of my clients are in careers they don't like, performing and jumping hoops for external validation. To earn approval, to earn love. I did that in my career too. Until I couldn't anymore and learned one of the most important things - the key to your freedom and the sense of safety you're searching for: You are the source of love.

And I'm still learning this. The lifelong orientation to seek outside of myself for love has created strong conditioning. I need regular reminders. The other day I was anxious and could feel myself wanting reassurance from my husband (and upset that he couldn't read my mind and jump to fill what felt like an endless hole of neediness). I didn't say anything to him because, as I remembered for the millionth time: “oh yeah, I am the source of love.” 🤍

As soon as I reminded myself of this, relief. The painful grasping and internal cry for help and someone else to affirm my safety immediately stopped. And the clenching of my solar plexus relaxed.

And the deeper truth I've been contemplating is that it's always been me, even when others have "given me love" it's really all been me. I just thought it was coming from them. There was a mental story that I was separate from love and others were my source and way of getting it.
Not true.
You are the source of love.
You are love. As my teacher Kiran Trace says, you are made of love. There is no separation between "you" and love.

So, you're it. It's that simple. Your peace and freedom is that simple. ♥️

True ♥️

The thing is, no one is going to come along and tell you what work you will love and enjoy doing. Only you can discover that. So you’ll need to get to know yourself. And to get to know your true self you have to separate out and put aside all the external inputs you have likely been internalizing - all the "shoulds" about who you're supposed to be and how you're supposed to live your life, all the logic-based rational arguments about what are the "good jobs" or best career strategies, all the voices of your parents/family who mean well, but have been guiding you to do things that you know aren't really what you want. You also have to put aside all the internal chatter about what "everyone else" is doing, achieving, accumulating. Put down the comparisons and stop using what other people are doing to inform what you should do with your life. Although it might appear so from the outside, most of the time they don't know any more about how to live a fulfilling life than you do.

In short, to know yourself and in turn, discover work you enjoy, you have to stop looking outward and start looking inward. It will require learning to tune into your genuine wants and desires. This is where it starts. ♥️

"Why would I listen to her?" you may be thinking.

Exactly. Why are you listening to anybody else at all? Looking around to others to tell you what's right for you is part of the problem.

I could rattle off arguments to establish myself as an expert and authority you should trust and listen to. But I don't want you to listen to me. I want you to listen to you.

That's my job as your coach. It's my job to help you tune into and listen to you. If anything, I'm an expert in helping you do that.

Find what's true for you. Ask yourself, what do I really truly want? What do I really enjoy doing? How do I really want to spend my days?

Listen to you.

Not easy stuff to do on your own. There is a world of conditioning, fear, conflicting thoughts, feelings, different potential paths. Helping you sort through all that so the gold - your truth- can rise to the top is where I come in.

We can be so habituated to looking around to what others are doing or say we should do it can be kinda scary to have complete control over your life.

But it's the only way you'll get to where you want to go. To a life you enjoy. Because it was deliberately created by and for you. Only you know the way.

This is your life. You are free to do whatever you want. You need no one's approval or fit no one's worldview of how to live.

You are free. Let that really sink in. 😘
