We bring together children, youth, and organizations from communities in conflict zones 🌍🌻 Every community can create and sustain peace.

Play for Peace is a community of people who are, right now, creating a more peaceful world. In fact, one of the most exciting things about Play for Peace is that at any time of day or night Play for Peace is happening somewhere in the world. Children, youth and adults, even in communities in conflict, are deciding to choose compassion and practice peace, and they are learning to do this through th

e joy of play. Few things can provide a common link between people like laughter and play. Through cooperative play, we have a universal and non-threatening platform around which people can come together and learn. Play creates a gateway to moments when differences dissolve, fear melts away, and we see what connects us rather than what divides us. At Play for Peace we believe;

Everyone can be an architect, builder and leader for peace. Play is one of the most innovative catalysts for peace in the world today. If Play for Peace is happening around the world it is either through one of our two action programs; Play for Peace Training or Practice Peace Session and supported by our membership programs which includes our; Certified Trainers Program, Play for Peace Club and Mentors Program and our Partner for Peace Program. Together these programs encourage people to shift from a place of isolation, fear and violence to a place of inspiration, collaboration and connection. Entire communities begin to unlearn previously held biases and take action together. It is the playful action that inspires people from different cultures to reach across barriers and boundaries. In the realm of play, pure creativity exists and transformation occurs. From this place of transformation, communities have the foundation to generate new avenues for building peace.

Not sure what to expect on September 19 at Global Community Walk? Here's your day — start to finish.

Gather with your neighbors, friends, family. Walk at your pace. Enjoy cooperative play activities and in one location, even pickleball. Close with community, stories, and connection. The whole day wraps in 1.5 to 3 hours.

Just show up as your fabulous self and bring someone along if you'd like to.

Are you an experienced facilitator with 3 or more years of experience in the field? Our Certified Trainer Course might be exactly what you've been looking for.

Play for Peace Certified Trainers lead our training workshops with schools, nonprofits, and communities around the world and become part of a global network.

Here's what's involved:
📅 6 live online sessions (90 min each, every other week)
👩Taught by Sarah Gough, MSW, Executive Director of Play for Peace, training trainers since 2012
📝 Practice assignments + a final facilitation project to earn certification
