NABSE 53rd Annual Conference – December 10 - 14, 2025 - Chicago, IL Join us for our annual conference, where you can learn, network, and collaborate with leaders and peers from across the nation.

Years ago, I took a leap of faith and launched my own education consulting firm—and it changed my life in ways I never could’ve imagined.

My name is Dr. Kenyatta Starks, and I’m the Founder and CEO of Starks Educational Consulting, a leadership and educational development firm dedicated to helping school leaders build high-performing schools, improve student achievement, and elevate the student experience.

It wasn’t always easy, but the journey has been transformative. 🌻

Since starting this venture, I’ve had the privilege of coaching educational leaders across the country, building a trusted brand, and even reaching a global audience through my podcast.

It’s the people you share life with — family, friends, partners, and the community around you.

Success in your career is valuable, but it’s not the measure of your worth.

Your real legacy is built in the moments you share, the love you give, and the connections you nurture.

Take a step back today. Call someone you care about. Be present. Let them know they matter more than any deal, client, or project.

I had the honor of being inaugurated as part of the inaugural executive team of the Greater Chicago Alliance of Black School Educators (GCABSE). I’m incredibly humbled to take on this role at such a pivotal time in education—and even more inspired by the powerful presence of my sisters in service.

The room was filled with brilliance, passion, and purpose—and the undeniable energy of the Divine Nine. The presence of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, and Zeta Phi Beta was strong, unified, and deeply felt. 💗💚❤️🔺💙🤍

This is what collective power looks like. Black women in leadership, standing shoulder to shoulder, committed to transforming education for our students, families, and communities. We are truly rooted in legacy and rising in purpose.
