A typical classroom holds anywhere from 22 to 30 students. Even the most incredible teacher cannot meet every child’s individual needs at every moment of the day. (Trust us. We’ve been there.)

The research is clear: tutoring is an intervention that makes a lasting difference, not only in grades, but in long-term academic success. Tutoring is particularly impactful when working with a certified educator who understands pedagogy as well as content.

Every child deserves a teacher to focus just on them. That’s exactly what we do .

Parents always ask us how to get their kids to put down the graphic novel and pick up a chapter book. 🤔

Our take? Let kids read what they want to read! They’re developing their reading identities, and that’s the key to long-term success. When they’re ready to move on, they will. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. 🏃🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Still, a little variety never hurt anyone 😁 Swipe for some tried-and-true suggestions for encouraging your young reader to branch out, and share your strategies in the comments 📚
