It’s that time again! We’ve updated our Physician Spouse/Partner Experience Survey and we need your responses.

We’ve made a lot headway this year advocating for physician families with healthcare systems, and now we need updated data to bring back to them so they can better understand how the medical journey is impacting you and what support is still needed.

Our goal is 250–300 responses over the next six weeks. We’d love 500, so let’s see what we can do!

Once the responses are in, .m.kent , fellow medspouse, PhD, researcher, and all-around fabulous person, will compile the data. Then we’ll share what we learn with both you and healthcare systems.

Healthcare systems need a simple way to support them without adding more work to already-full teams.

That’s what The MedCommons Circle was built to do.

It’s about recognizing that family integration and community stability have downstream effects on physician well-being, retention, and long-term sustainability 💪

This is where members of The MedCommons Circle are right now- plus Hawaii!

It’s been really fun to watch this grow, especially as more people start to find others in their own areas.

The goal has always been simple. Make it easier for physician spouses and partners to find connection locally and feel more settled wherever they land.

If programs want stronger family integration, orientation is one of the best places to start.

Spouses and partners are often the ones helping the family get settled, understand the new community, figure out logistics, and hold things together behind the scenes at home.

When they hear important information directly, it creates clarity, reduces stress, and helps the whole family get grounded faster.

And when that is followed by ongoing support through The MedCommons Circle, families have a place to continue building connection, finding resources, and getting rooted in the community.

When the family feels more supported, the physician is better supported too.
