Words of wisdom from Dr. Tony Evans today - "Your greatest lessons in faith will often be learned in the dark."
Why does a loving God allow suffering? There are no easy answers to this age-old question. But we do know even when we're hurt or broken, we're not abandoned by God. He always planned to suffer with us and for us.

We are loving SAVVY expert contributor Rebecca McLaughlin’s new book, “Is Christmas Unbelievable?” We all live by faith, even with a secular belief system. Rebecca points out we must choose our miracle, “…without God the very existence of reality itself is a question mark left dangling in the night sky. If Christianity is true, we can look up and wonder why the God who made the galaxies also cares for you and me (Psalm 8:3-4). But if there is no God, we can only look up and wonder if our lives have any point to them at all.” 🎄❤️🌟

Doubt. Is it harmful to faith? Can you have doubts about your faith, or is that a bad thing?
Somewhere along the line, the word “doubt” started to take on the baggage of “unbelief.” But they're not the same thing!
It is scary to explore your doubts, but working through them can help strengthen your faith.

How can we best shape and influence our kids' spiritual lives? James Emery White outlines the most important factors for handing down the faith in a summary of a recent study.
Handing Down the Faith | Church & Culture You may find this surprising, but until very recently there were no significant studies from the social sciences on how parents can best pass their faith on to the next generation. We knew that parents mattered. We knew that the Church mattered. But what was it about parents and churches that matter

Can we get an AMEN? Church is often compared to a family, and as such, can be messy and hard. In the Church episode, we explore why the Church is important and how we are called to be a part of it. The primary purpose of the Church is not to get a warm fuzzy feeling about Jesus. It’s not to earn points with God…The church exists to display God’s glory, and part of that happens when redeemed sinners gather together.

Many college students are fearful of holding a Christian worldview and getting ridiculed in academia. However, there are world-class scientists and academics in every field who are serious followers of Jesus. For example, Frances Collins, who led the Human Genome Project that first sequenced DNA and is the Head of the National Institutes of Health. He became a Christian when he was in his 20's, after previously identifying as Atheist. After looking into the evidence for God, he decided that Atheism was the least rational option. Dr. Collins now says that he believes that "the God of the Bible is also the God of the genome."
