🌟 Just completed Module 5 of my Board Certification in Special Education Advocacy and I’m more fired up than ever. 🔥
This module focused on the core principles of advocacy and wow, it hit home. Every child deserves access to a free and appropriate public education, but far too often, the system falls short. That’s where we come in.
💡 I learned how to:
* Center the student’s voice and needs in every decision
* Navigate IEP and 504 plans with clarity and confidence
* Collaborate and challenge when necessary to create change
Advocacy is not just about knowing the law. It’s about standing in the gap for families who are too often unheard. This isn’t just a course. It’s a call to action.
Let’s keep learning. Let’s keep showing up. Let’s change the game.

As I reflect on my journey at The Loop, I am filled with gratitude and pride. Ten years ago, I set out to create a place where every child could receive personalized support, and today, thanks to our incredible families, specialists, and school partners, we’ve made a lasting impact on hundreds of children’s lives.
Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to provide exceptional speech, language, and occupational therapy, as well as learning support. Together, we’ve celebrated milestones that reflect the hard work and resilience of our students, their families, and schools. It’s been a privilege to witness the transformations, big and small, that have taken place within our community.
Today, I’m excited to announce that The Loop has been acquired by Redwood Schools. This partnership will enhance the services we’ve built, as Redwood shares our commitment to excellence and innovative teaching. I know they will carry forward the Loop’s legacy, maintaining its commitment to evidence-based instruction, collaboration, and student empowerment.
On a personal note, this transition marks a new beginning for me as well. After ten years of dedicating myself to The Loop, I am excited to prioritize more time with my family and my new role as Coordinator of Clinical Operations and Interim Associate Director at DePaul University’s Speech and Language Clinic.
To our families and schools, thank you for your trust and support. I look forward to the exciting future ahead with Redwood Schools continuing The Loop's mission.
