The Chicago Alunni Chapter encourages its members to sign up to judge the National Appellate Advocacy Competition (NAAC), presented by the ABA Law Student Division, from February 26-28, 2026, at the ABA office, 321 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL.

This is another great opportunity for the Chicago Alumni Chapter to give back and mentor law students. All rounds take place in a courtroom and robes are provided for all competition judges. Please register here:

The Chicago Alumni Chapter encourages its members to sign up to judge the Negotiation National Finals, presented by the ABA Law Student Division, on January 30-31, 2026, at the ABA office, 321 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL.

This is an opportunity for the Chicago Alumni Chapter to impart wisdom to the next generation of lawyers. These students are some of the best in the country and will be impressive to watch! Attorneys acting as judges in competitions may self-report their participation to claim CLE credit.

The ABA Law Student Division invites you to judge a Regional Negotiation Competition hosted by Samford University Cumberland School of Law. The competition takes place VIRTUALLY on October 18-19, 2025. We invite you to lend your experience and expertise to this competition. No prior experience is necessary, and all volunteers will receive instructions before the event. On Monday, September 15, 2025, the Chicago Alumni Chapter met for the weekly PAD Table at Delmonico Restaurant to celebrate September birthdays with cake and cupcakes! Please join the PAD Table on Mondays! 🎂 🍰 🧁

On Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., the Chicago Alumni Chapter hopes you will attend the Chicago Bar Association's Barrister Big Band concert at Ganz Hall at Roosevelt University. Our PAD brother and master percussionist, Jay Kertez, will be performing. 🎼🥁🪘

Congratulations to Chicago Alumni Chapter Advisory Board Member, Sara, who completed 2025 IRONMAN Wisconsin on Sunday, September 7, 2025! A triathlon is a swim, bike, and run--in that order. Sara completed the full Ironman triathlon distance of 140.6 miles within the required 17 hours. The swim was 2.4 miles, then the bike was 112 miles, and last the run was (a marathon) 26.2 miles. Congratulations on this tremendous accomplishment! 🏊🏃🚴

On Monday, August 18, 2025, the Chicago Alumni Chapter met at the weekly PAD Table at DelMonico restaurant for food, fellowship and fascinating conversation on issues of the day! Please join us next time! 🍽🥤⚖

On Thursday, August 14, 2025, the Chicago Alumni Chapter participated in Race Judicata to raise funds for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. Thank you to everyone who ran in the event, served as a volunteer, made a donation, or was with Team PAD in spirit. We hope that we continue this tradition and that Team PAD is even bigger and better next year! 👟🏃⚖

You still have time to join Team PAD for Race Judicata. Race Judicata is a 5K run/walk, which benefits Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. It will be held Thursday August 14, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in Lincoln Park (1746 North Stockton Drive, Chicago, IL 60614). Race Judicata is the largest event of the year for the Chicago legal community. We will have a tent, courtesy of Brother John Norris. Our team code is PAD CAC. 👟🏃⚖
