Welcome to class! First day back remotely was exhausting 🤪 but finally getting to see my 5th and 6th graders’ faces Made it all worth it! 😊

“letters” ready to go! I made a Google Slide for each student with a note from me and an award they were voted for by the whole class. I usually don’t have the time or energy for this at the end of the year, so it’s one positive out of !

What a great visual to start talking to your students about systemic inequities and systemic racism. I’ve discussed equity vs. equality with my kids before, but I’m definitely adding in “justice” next year.

Just made my “Create a Myth” project digital for ! These are so fun to read. Swipe to hear the story of Juan, creator of earthquakes, “a man so strong, the trees burned when he flexed” who ruled a kingdom “far away, very far! About 465 miles from the nearest village.” 😂

Day 1 of was basically like the first day of school and you know these middle schoolers need 🤦🏼‍♀️ So I made this interactive Nearpod lesson to show them the ropes. After I asked them to explain one expectation and it sounds like they got it! 👩🏼‍🏫➡️👩🏼‍💻
