We are so happy to see the Sloughi featured as the Breed of the Day. The correct weight range for the 𝙎𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙞 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 40-70𝙡𝙗𝙨. Although this is a coursing hound with high prey drive, many Sloughis do well in households with small pets, such as cats and birds. It's all a matter of socialization!

Congratulations to Jessa and Aaron of Thereafter Sighthounds on Fig's BCAT and the outrageous rosette she won for her new title!

After making 8 out of 8 qualifying runs in her debut season playing lure sports, Fig has earned her BCAT title this weekend.

Have you ever seen your Sloughi walking super slowly under a bush or tablecloth like s/he is in a trance? 🐾 It's called "trancing" (or ghost-walking), and it's completely normal! Dogs do it because the light brushing sensation on the back triggers a blissful, trance-like state — basically a free massage they gave themselves. Totally harmless and honestly adorable. 🐶✨ Here is Amiass enjoying her Monday morning willow trance. We hope your week is off to an enjoyable beginnging as well.
